Milling Times & Updates
We understand seeing our wonderful mill fully operational (either milling or demo) will always enhance your visit. For that reason, we will do our utmost to operate the mill during visiting hours wherever possible.
However, one of the unique aspects of a tide mill is the reliance on nature, including the tides, wind direction and rain. For that reason, we may not be able to adhere to the schedule advertised if weather conditions dictate otherwise. We will of course do our best to advise of changes as soon as possible.
Please feel free to call 07754 943760 prior to your visit for latest operating info including planned operating schedules beyond the months shown below..
Thank You for your understanding.

Miller Update June 2026
Hello Again,
This will be my first update since the completion of the extensive repair project earlier this year (see photos and previous update below). I'm pleased to say that despite some challenges along the way our mill is running as well as anyone here can remember.
Over the past few months we have taken delivery of 500 kg of wheat from our suppliers (Trinity Grain) and thus far we have milled 400 kg of flour during three milling sessions. Most of which has sold already. Thank you to all those visitors and local residents who have purchased our wonderful flour. We appreciate your custom and support.
How do I know how great our flour is you may ask. Well, not only did I learn how to mill since the last update, but I also learnt how to bake. After a few initial disasters baking bread, I can now confidently talk about the quality of our flour and the great bakes you can make.
As I'm new to the art of milling flour, I have been heavily reliant on the help, knowledge and advise of our excellent volunteer millers. They've shown me all the 'tricks & quirks' that come with operating such a unique mill. Without them I'm not sure the quantity or quality would be as good as it has been. Thank you Ian, Charlie, Barry & Sally.
I have now taken delivery of another wheat delivery and plan to start milling again in June & July when conditions and tides allow. The milling dates are shown above should you wish to see how we produce flour. A word of caution would be to always check before visiting for both demonstration and milling days as things can change quickly.
I look forward to meeting you soon
Regards
Gary (Miller)
